No prerequisites are necessary for this course. However, participants are expected to possess basic language, literacy, and numeracy skills, with an emphasis on oral communication.

HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid offers practical, simulated, and real-to-life first responder situations. As only a handful of Registered Training Organisations are able to provide Advanced First Aid training in Australia. HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid is designed to be completed in just one in-class session. 

Ensuring our students complete all knowledge and practical assessment requirements in the highly qualified presence of experienced FirstAidPro trainers who provide guidance and one-on-one support; There are no additional requirements for students to complete coursework online or any out-of-class assessments. The learner will be able to react and execute effective techniques without stopping to think about how to perform various parts of a skill. During the course, learners will learn how to manage situations by simulating real life emergencies. Learners will learn skills that are safe, practical and effective. 

Please note it is a requirement of this course that the practical demonstration must be performed on the adult manikin on the floor. The online modules are self-paced and can take up to 8 hours to complete based on your previous experiences. The face-to-face assessment session will be 8 hours. This will be dependent on your practical ability and level of competence in the tasks required. This course is a blended model with online modules to complete before the practical assessment session.

In line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid should be updated every 36 months.
