Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is an evidence-based assessment method to gain a qualification. If you believe that you have the skills, knowledge, and experience gained through work, training courses and work-based training to meet the requirements of the course. You will be issued a certification based on the supporting evidence of your skills and experiences in your sector without having to sit through classes and repeat the same learnings that you already have through your years of work or prior experience.
If you think you have the skills, experience and qualifications in your required field and have supporting evidence to prove it, we can expedite your course time. However, we recommend you to undertake the RPL Pre-Eligibility check, in order to make your RPL Assessment journey effortless. Before you begin, go through the checklist on our website, familiarise yourself and tick the boxes that you are confident about. Upon receiving your Pre-eligibility Check, our student support officer or Training coordinator will contact you with the next steps. If you have all the evidence, our student support officer will guide you with the application form and the RPL process.
RPL is a nationally recognised qualification across Australia. If you are looking at upskilling, opting for RPL can help you save both time and money to get a certification. RPL qualifications can help you move forward in your career, get into uni for courses you may not have prior qualifications for. Our RPL qualification on Hospitality and Building and Trade is on the occupation list which will build a pathway to help you get a permanent resident in Australia.

RPL process takes only a few weeks to complete and is largely dependent on the amount of recognition required for your chosen course as well as how much time is taken for you to gather the evidence of your skills and experience.
After you choose the qualification and module(s) for RPL credit, you will have to provide a photo or video evidence demonstrating your skills relevant to your field of expertise, along with documents like payslips, job cards, customer feedback, reference letters etc. Please note that the documents required may vary according to the course you have chosen to apply.
Our student support team will help you run a pre-eligibility checklist to make sure you can apply for the RPL assessment. Every candidate will be assigned a trainer who will be directly accessible to you for any assistance you require to complete your course units. Our business development team will help you complete the enrollment form or any other documents you will require to submit during the process.
After completing the RPL you will receive a nationally recognised certification from Quest Institute of Education which will be accepted across Australia and also qualifies you to work anywhere nationally. However, if there is a gap between your qualification and the skills required to complete the course, then Quest Institute of Education will provide you with the gap training to meet the Australian standards and skill components required for the successful completion of your course.
Please note, for some courses Quest Institute of Education may not be able to provide gap training but still do gap assessments. Please check ahead with the course advisors if this is the case.Yes, Quest Institute of Education is a Registered Training Organisation under ASQA standards (Australian Skill Quality Authority) and has been operational since 2002. Upon completion of your course, we will update your Unique Student Identifier (USI) which is a reference number that maintains an online record of your training and qualifications attained in Australia. In order to receive your qualification or Statement of Attainment, you require a USI number.

In deciding on the appropriate qualification and module(s) for RPL credit, take into account your previous work experience and your future academic requirements.
Make sure that you meet the admission requirements of the selected qualification for your chosen qualification.
Fill the RPL Application form, gather supporting documents and proof of payment of the application fee.
RPL credits are granted based on proof of evidence of learning. RPL credits are awarded for the relevant learning gained as a result of experience, and not for the experience alone.
You will receive confirmation of receipt of your application as soon as we have received all your documents and the payment of the prescribed fees. Confirm your Cloudasses account through the link and take the LLN test and PTR (Pre-training review).

Further assessment may take the form of a challenge exam, an interview, a work-related project or a portfolio (which contains records of your experience, knowledge, and skills). Further guidelines regarding each of the assessment options will be provided to you if your RPL application is viable. It will be assessed by an RPL panel based on the relevant evidence you submit.
An interview through the phone will be scheduled between the assessor and the student. This interview may be recorded.
